The Guaranteed Life Plan from Medscheme is a simple and affordable plan offering life insurance cover.  The qualifying criteria for this type of cover is for members below the age of 55 years with an annual income of not more than R120 000.

Funeral Cover

Medscheme Life Insurance provides a Comprehensive Funeral Plan which helps to cover the funeral expenses of the covered member. There are additional benefits available at no extra cost such as trauma, assault and HIV treatment and legal support.

Hospital Cash Plan

With the escalating costs of hospitalization, Medscheme Life realized the need for an affordable Hospital Cash Plan that will provide you with a daily income to offset the financial expenses which you will incur whilst in hospital. This daily income is paid directly into your account from day 2 of admission into hospital regardless on whether or not the hospitalization was at a private or state hospital.

Cancer Insurance

Medscheme Life Insurance understands that cancer is a high risk disease with statistics showing that at least one in four people will be diagnosed with cancer in South Africa. In the event of a diagnosis, the cancer plan will pay a lump sum benefit to the main life assured in order to assist with any medical expenses associated with the treatment which may not be covered by the medical aid.
